Arched Button-Tufted Wingback Headboard

What separates this headboard from a standard upholstered panel is the arched crown at the top — a curved profile that immediately lifts the design from functional to decorative. Paired with extended wingback side panels, the overall shape frames the head of the bed with genuine presence. The diamond button tufting across the upper panel is deep and even, with the characteristic dimpled texture that velvet handles particularly well — the fabric catches light differently across each tufted section, giving the surface a subtle, shifting depth that flat upholstery simply cannot replicate. The smooth lower panel below the tufting keeps the base clean and uncluttered, so the eye is drawn upward to where the detail lives. In deep black velvet, this headboard works equally well in a maximalist bedroom or as the single bold statement in an otherwise pared-back space.

Key Features

• Arched crown silhouette → Curved top profile adds decorative height and visual interest — a distinctive alternative to the standard straight-top headboard that immediately elevates the bed's presence in the room
• Deep diamond button tufting on upper panel → Evenly spaced, tightly pulled buttons create structured three-dimensional texture; velvet upholstery amplifies the depth and light-catching quality of each tufted section
• Extended wingback side panels → Full-height wings frame the head of the bed on both sides, creating an enclosed, considered feel and making the bed the natural focal point of the room
• Soft velvet upholstery throughout → Rich, tactile fabric that brings warmth and luxury to the bedroom; the pile catches light at different angles, giving the surface a subtle depth flat fabrics cannot match
• Smooth lower base panel → Clean, untufted lower section balances the detailed upper half and prevents the overall design from feeling overdone
• Deep black colourway → A versatile, high-contrast tone that anchors the room and pairs with a wide range of bedding colours from white and cream to blush and gold
